Liza Benner

Psychotherapist

Therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of what isn’t working – whether that’s in your relationships, a current life transition or any difficult situation you are working through. My role as a therapist is to support you – individually or with your partner or family – in identifying the underlying patterns that contribute to feeling stuck, disconnected or dissatisfied. Together, we will develop new ways of understanding and responding to these challenges so meaningful change is possible.

we get to write the ending.” ~Brené Brown

Individual therapy provides a supportive space to explore challenges such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, dysregulation or difficult relationships. Together, we work to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change that supports your well-being and personal growth.

Couples therapy helps partners resolve conflict differently, better understand one another, improve communication, and break cycles that lead to conflict or disconnection. Whether you are navigating ongoing challenges or a specific concern, therapy offers a space to rebuild trust, deepen connection, and move forward as a team.

Family therapy focuses on strengthening relationships and improving communication within the family system. By understanding patterns and dynamics that impact everyone, families can develop healthier ways of relating, resolve conflict, and foster greater connection and support.

SPACE is an evidence-based, parent-focused approach designed to help children manage anxiety and other difficult emotions by supporting change within the family system. Rather than working directly with the child, parents learn practical strategies to respond to emotional distress with empathy while gradually reducing unhelpful accommodations. This approach helps children build resilience and confidence, and empowers parents to feel more effective and supported in their role.
